A photograph of Twiggy (right), real name Lesley Hornby (1949-), with Kerstin Lindberg, swinging round a lamppost in London, taken by Eatwell for the Daily Herald newspaper on 3 June, 1967. Twiggy was discovered in a hairdressers in 1966, when she was sixteen. The world’s first supermodel, Twiggy’s face and naturally waif-like figure epitomised the era.
